Respond to that idea. What do you think about it? Do you think that teachers could be more effective if they used technology tools (think podcasts, web videos, online discussion forums, electronic assignment submission, tech-related project assignments)? Are modern students technologically inclined? What about being a student in Utah? Do you think that being in Utah keeps you a little behind-the-times as far as technology learning is concerned? Would YOU do better if more multi-media was used in your classrooms to teach and present, and for you to demonstrate your learning and communicate?
I guess it would be okay, we do live in a technological world, and in a lot of jobs you have to know how to work with stuff like this, we have to learn all the new stuff that is coming out and how to use it properly. So in a way it would be good to use technology more in the classroom. Some of it I personally don't think I would like, like making movies and stuff, that just doesn't make sense to me, but if we were learning how to use it, then it wouldn't be so bad. I don't feel like I'm behind really, I mean I wish we could have laptop one on one and stuff like that, but I don't feel like I'm being held back from learning. I might be able to do a bit better if we used more technology, but I probably wouldn't like staring at a computer for 3-5 hours in a day.

Since we're reading Nothing But The Truth, which involves a boy who doesn't get along with a teacher, I want you to consider teacher-student relationships you've had in the past. Have you had teachers that you just got along with whether or not you did well in their class? Have you had teachers whose personality just didn't mesh with yours? Without naming names, expound upon these ideas and thoughtfully consider how personality differences or similarities have affected you in your classes.
I've had both types of teachers. There is always that one teacher who I can get along with even if I am being really ornery, and there is always that one teacher who I can not get along with, especially on bad days! I think that it is good to have a teacher you can talk with and tell things to them and trust them with things. i.e., Say you were being abused in some type of way, and you didn't know what to do, your scared to tell your parents, you definitely don't want to tell your friends, but you have that one really nice really truest worthy teacher who seems to know the answer to everything, and plus you have a good relationship with them, therefore making easier for you to tell them what the problem is without feeling bad.
I also think that having the one teacher you do not like no matter what, is still okay to have, it is good to have someone like that. Because when you start working there will most likely be a co worker who is like that, and you will most likely end up working with that person, so it helps to try to get along with them.

How important is honesty to you? Is it more important than kindness? Share a story of a time you or someone you know was not honest and it caused problems or was 'too honest' and it caused problems.
I think that honesty is pretty important, maybe not more important than kindness, but not less important, more like they are the same in the importance rating. Me and my friend Cierra were going to make caramel popcorn and watch the movie Grease, all we were waiting for was my mom to call and say okay. So when she finally said ,"yeah sure," when I called my friend Cierra, her brother answered the phone and said, "Oh, she just left with her other friends, sorry, she wont be back until way late tonight." It made me really mad because she told me that she would come and that she wasn't going to hang out with her other friends because she didn't like them really anymore, so it made me really mad that she lied to me and said that she would come over to my house instead of hanging out with her other friends, but she did the opposite without calling me to tell me she couldn't hangout anymore.

The world is ending. There are natural disasters happening everywhere. You know that soon you will be stranded in your house with only the food left in your cupboards. You make a mad dash to the grocery store but everyone there is in such chaos that you know you'll only have time to grab one item before escaping with your life. What item of food do you grab?Describe what the food is, how long you'll wait to eat it, what it will feel like to know you're eating it for the last time. Will you share with your family? Will you hide it away until there's nothing else left? Will you eat it a little at a time or gobble it all at once? Describe every aspect of enjoying this last savory morsel of food.
I would grab mint Oreo cookies. It is chocolate cookie with mint frosting creme stuff in the middle, then there is another chocolate cookie to keep the mint creme together and it is very delicious. I would wait until I got home to eat it, and I would have been very sad to know that I am eating my most favorite food for the last time! It would be heart wrenching to know that when I eat the last cookie, I will no longer be able to taste that sweet mint chocolaty goodness. hahah and no I would not share with my family, maybe my little sister and my mom, but definitely not my brother or my dad, they can go hunt something out of the woods. I might try to save it till there was absolutely no more food left, but I'm not very good at saving food, especially when It's my favorite. When I get my cookies, I will gobble half of it, with chocolate crumbs hanging from my mouth and the mint creme sticking in my mouth, then once I have eaten half of them, I would realize, this is the last time I will eat my favorite cookie. . . I would then savor every crumb for the next 20 or so cookies left, I would make sure my mouth was clear of the taste that it leaves behind before I take another bite. On the last cookie, I would stare at it for a minute thinking, " This is the last time I will ever see this kind of cookie again. . ." I would tell the cookie that I loved it even though I was about to eat it, and then I would nibble it until it was gone, and then I would cry because I had no more cookies, and I would probably end up dying of starvation. Oh well I had my last cookie at least! ☺

Imagine that you have a superpower. The Power of Persuasion. You can convince anyone of anything. How would you use that power? What would you try to get, do, change? Would you use it for good? Or evil? Describe what the Power of Persuasion is.
I would use it for evil, haah no jk I would use it for good, I would use is so that people would give me exactly what I wanted when I wanted, I wouldnt really change anything, I might try to make the world better but I bet that it wouldnt really do much of anything. I think that the power of persuasion is when you get people to do what you want or to get them to believe somthing that you say. I would get people to stpp arguing with me, and I would have them give me things I wanted.

The last book I read was The Luxe, by Anna Godberson.
The stroy was about a girl named Elizabeth Holland, her little sister Diana, her friend Penelope Hayes, and the love of her loife, Will Keller. It talks of how she comes home from Paris for the summer, and how she is at a ball for her best friends new house, and how nice she is. Penelope Hayes like Henry Schoonmaker, and they think that they love eachother. But before Henry can propose to her, his dad tells him he needs to marry someone who would make him look good, like Elizabeth. Sundays are the days were they have their visitors in the Holland home, and Henry goes, and takes Elizabeth for a walk, there he proposes to her. So Elizabeth says yes because, ever since her father passed away, her family has gone from high society rich class, to secret poverty. Marrying Henry will make life so much easier for her and her family. But Diana falls in love with Henry one night when he is waiting for Elizabeth to come down for a walk. Henry falls in love with her too, that is why he does not want to marry Elizabeth. So Henry and Diana have their secret love affair, and when Penelope finds out about her best friends engagement to the man she loves, she decides that the wedding isnt going to happen. Elizabeth told Will that she had to marry Henry, that it was the only way to make her family happy, but Will wants her to go to California with him where they can be out in the open and love eachother. The night Will leaves is the night that The Schoonmakers throw a ball for Henry and Elizabeths engagemenet. A week later Elizabeth and Penelpope are looking for a wedding dress, and Penelope tells Elizabeth that she can not marrry Henry. So they fake her death so that Elizabeth can go to California and live with Will, but Diana knows that is wasnt real, because Elizabeth had sent a note to her on the day of her "funeral."
I really like the book, I wouldnt change anything about it, it was just really good the way it was. I would give it %stars.

Pick three letters from the alphabet. For example, A, J, and L. Then, for each letter, pick a name, a location, and a job. This is your new character. Write a couple paragraphs about them. For example: Arthur is a Lycanthropologist in Jamaica. He is 15. His parents are vampires vacationing in Jamaica (because it has a great nightlife). He is secretly fascinating with werewolves, who are supposed to be his sworn enemies. While in Jamaica he uncovers a.... and so on.

So as Katelyn was wandering around a family who had been trying to adopt a little girl for a while, found her lying by a dumpster, so they took her home and they adopted her as their little girl. When she was older, she was a very pretty girl and very popular, she was on the track team, and she was really nice to everyone. Soon after she turned 17, her new family moved to Los Angeles California. There she felt alone, and helpless but with her good looks and charm, she soon had the whole boy population at her school on her side. After a while, she made some friends that were girls, and some of them were interested in modeling. So Katelyn thought that she would get into it to. She went home to her mom, and asked for help to put a portfolio together so she could go take it to some agencies and see if she could get a job. As soon as they had her portfolio together, they took it to the hot new agency PAC Coast. They accepted her, and put her to her first job as a Colgate toothpaste commercial girl. It wasn't her idea of rich and famous but she would soon be there. After that she got jobs all around the world for all sorts of things. She is married to one of the hottest underwear models for Calvin and Klein, and is currently pregnant with their first child. As soon as she is done having the baby she is going to be in a movie. :)

Describe your ideal Winter Break. Where would you go? What would you do? Money is not an obstacle. If you could do anything you wanted, what would that be?
Well I would take my best friends Cierra and Morgan, Kyle, Ryan and Russell, and we would go to Australia and go on tours and there is a tour where they have an albino kangaroo, and we would get to hug the albino kangaroo, and then we would stay in a really nice 5 star hotel suite, where we would have a pool in the suite, and we would go night swimming, and then we would stay up late watching movies, eating food, and playing pool and air hockey. Then in the morning we would eat a HUGE breakfast, made by the finest chefs in all of Australia, and then we would go on a shopping spree. Then after 3 days, we would fly to the Caribbean and tan for a few days, and learn how to surf and go to all these amazing beach parties!!!! Then on December 30, we would fly to New York, and we would spend the night partying, and just being crazy and having fun!!!! Then on New Years Day we would come back to Utah and we would learn how to snowboard, and we would go snowboarding, and stay in a rustic cabin in the mountains, and stay the night, and then go home the next day. It would be soooo much fun!
